Nick specializes in landlord and tenant representation, responsible for handling north of 2.5 MM square feet of retail and office properties in Florida at a time. Graduating from the University of Central Florida with a double-major in Finance and Real Estate has helped Nick quickly adapt to the intricacies of commercial real estate. Other specialties include distressed assets, acquisitions, dispositions, marketing, and he’s responsible for completing more than $40 MM in retail leasing transaction value.
Prior to joining the EIS team, Nick founded the company Southern Commercial Partners, an independent commercial real estate brokerage where his primary focus was centered around site acquisitions and landlord representation. Nick is licensed as a Broker Associate with the Department of Business and Professional Regulation. He is a member of the International Council of Shopping Centers and has served on the Board of Retail Live. Nick was awarded the CoStar Power Broker for Retail Leasing in 2013 and 2014.
In his spare time, Nick enjoys golfing, boating, and skiing.
Since joining Equity Investment Services, Matthew quickly adapted to EIS’ boots on the ground, go out and earn the business model. He has specialized in landlord and tenant representation and leases over 1.5 MM square feet of retail throughout Central Florida. Since starting in 2010 Matthew has learned how to be effective in today’s challenging market by both preserving Owner’s value and generating new Tenants.
Prior to joining the EIS team, Matthew worked in the hospitality industry where he gained logistical and client management experience. He also ran his own business installing plantation shutters where he gained insight into residential construction.
In his spare time he enjoys the outdoors, scuba diving, fishing, camping, and hunting.
Eric Portnoy joined Equity Investment Services in 2015. Eric leases a portfolio of anchored and unanchored shopping center on behalf of private clients. He focuses on researching properties based on location, tenant types, and opportunities. Eric also handles showings, has experience with LOI negotiations, lease review and post signing coordination.
Prior to working in the commercial real estate industry, Eric was in sports broadcasting for over six years. His main client being Fox Sports Florida he also worked for networks like ESPN, TNT, CBS, and Versus. Originally from South Florida, he’s been an Orlando native for the past eight years, graduating from UCF with a degree in Film. Eric’s sports broadcasting experience goes much further than operating cameras as he spent most of that time in the Fox Sports Florida Office, coordinating and producing original programming.
Eric’s interests include sports, movies, and working out.
Ryan specializes in retail leasing and sales. He graduated from Florida Gulf Coast University with a major in Business Management-Entrepreneurship and Real Estate. Ryan is licensed as a Sales Associate with the Department of Business and Professional Regulation and is a member of the International Council of Shopping Centers. Ryan currently leases a portfolio of retail centers throughout the Central Florida market.
Prior to joining the EIS team, Ryan co-founded Southern Commercial Partners. His focus was leasing high vacancy centers and locating local tenants for relocation. Ryan has extensive experience negotiating LOI’s and leases for both tenants and landlords. He is familiar with both the Central and SW Florida markets.
